this has been a recent passion project and I'm so stoked to see it come to life
growing up my mother had a hectic collection of mary gregory glass and it always caught my eye. the way the light catches the painted figures is almost ghostly in person and super hard to photograph. so I got me grubby little mitts on a beautiful piece and got to work
this particular piece is dated around 1890 and is in incredible condition. it features all the hallmarks mary gregory was known for - the victorian era kids, the whimsy flick of the trees and the classic enamel paint layering baked into the glass
this piece has been brought together with a 19cm pink glass stem I melted to shape, an absolutely insane piece by talented glass artist @brittanyjanet sourced from the legend @breakybowls
